A time for Thanks & Giving

During the month of November, I find myself reminiscing to days when my famiy would get together for big meals, laughs and football. Oh, how times have changed. Now, my family has moved across the country, my own children work during the holidays, though a couple manage to make their way home for the Thanksgiving dinner, they too have other homes to visit for the day. So...we manage to make a "normal" size meal, and wait to see who arrives. But for me crafting is always a big deal - making the pretty cards, refurbished barn boards and decor to hang, send and display. Some things will never change. I will continue to carry on these traditions until my fingers cramp up and don't allow me the creativity they once did. Here are some beautiful cards from red rubber designs offered by Unity Stamp Company based out of New London Minnesota. I adore them, and will continue to support this small family business. They're just about the best around. More Thanks & Giving wonder to come!
Until our next visit to the Craft room! Cheers xx Jan

A weekend with Antonis

The Master and the Student

If you are ever lucky enough to have the opportunity to spend time with Antonis Tzanidakis...DO IT!! You will learn some of the most AMAZING mixed media techniques ever!

Antonis and his beautiful wife, Nadea Vianna, were in Neenah Wisconsin for a long weekend in October, and taught four classes at Valley Stamp & Scrap. Prior to my leaving the shop as a "helper", I was one of the lucky ones to be able to attend his sessions, and what FANTASTIC lessons they were!

As a Stamperia artist, Antonis travels the globe teaching techniques that he has perfected over his 39 years. Acrylic paints, Vintage pastes, Crackle pastes, Mixed Media glues...all from the Stamperia line, along with his Sir Vagabond, Geisha and then the greyboard...COME ON!! Ever creation that came from the attendees was unique and so different - so beautiful!

Sir Vagabond in all his glory!
