Junk Journal-Mania
If you've known me for a while, you know my love and adoration for Heather Stillufsen runs LONG and strong!! I recently purchased another journal from Heather's Etsy shop, and wasn't sure that I would use it...as I tend to savor, hang onto, and hoard the beautiful journals much more than I probably should.
When they're so dang pretty...how can a person "muck" it up with a pen and ink??
Well...I decided this one would be different, and I decided that my love of Heather and my love of Junk Journaling would be combined! I decided that this Stillufsen journal would be my new Junk Journal, and I can't tell you how happy I am that it is!! The first two pages make me so happy...words hardly describe my joy.
Here they are:
What I have decided to do is leave the backside of each page blank so that I can add my thoughts, gratitude and prayers for the day on that page so as not to soil the actual journal page itself.
If you would like to journal along with me...comment below, and I will create a Junk Journal event on a day that works best for all on the Handmade Treasures by Jan FaceBook page. That would be so much fun!!
Cheers and Journal Joy, my friends! Jan

Growing in Unity Blog Hop
Come and join the fun of a Growing in Unity Blog Hop! After being a Growing in
Unity artist of the week, I am lucky enough to "hop" along with some amazing
artists. Here I have used Donna Downey's amazing "You Are Important" stamp kit
to make a couple beautiful. I had such a hard time deciding which I would
choose, so I didn't! I love the Mixed Media feel of the first image, and with
the use of washi tape, acrylic paint accents and watercolor paints. I didn't add
a sentiment to this one because I think the beautiful design speaks for itself.
In the second card, Distressed Oxides to blend a pretty-in-pink background, and
stamped the giant floral image over the blend. I again used some black acrylic
to add some dotted accents and on this one I used a sentiment from the kit in
coordinating color. I can't tell you how I love the wonderful red rubber of
Unity stamps, and if you haven't tried them...WHAT are you waiting for? You will
absolutely love these stamps, embellishments, and everything that Unity has to
offer! Thanks for "hopping" over - don't forget to leave a comment for your
chance to win! See below for the next "hop" spot!!
